Teenager Fenati wins Moto3 Spanish GP

BARCELONA, (AFP) - Italian Romano Fenati recorded his first Grand Prix victory at the age of 16 here on Sunday as he powered his FTR Honda to victory in the Moto3 category of the Spanish Grand Prix.

In a race marked by several crashes -- only half of the 34-strong field finished -- Fenati took the victory ahead of Spaniard Luis Salom (Kalex KTM) and Germany's Sandro Cortese (KTM) in third.

Less than three weeks after his second place finish in Qatar, Fenati took the lead in the championship.
