KUALA LUMPUR, (D5 Sports) - National top shuttler Lee Chong Wei was the only Malaysian left in the fray for the Macau Open Grand Prix title after two national women's pairs went down in the quarter-finals.

Top seed Chong Wei had no problems booking his semi-final spot, ousting Korea's Shon Wan-ho 21-16, 21-12 in 36 minutes to advance.

But it was a disappointment in the women's doubles, as both Chin Eei Hui-Wong Pei Tty and Ng Hui Ern-Ng Hui Lin fell to their respective opponents.

Despite being seeded second, Eei Hui-Pei Tty was unable to muster a decent fight, losing 15-21, 15-21 to fifth seed Meiliana Jauhari-Greysia Polii of Indonesia in half an hour.

Siblings Hui Ern and Hui Lin was also sent packing, after the duo lost to Taipei's Hsing Cheng Wen-Chin Chien Yu 15-21, 14-21.

27-year old Chong Wei will face fourth seed Simon Santoso for a spot in the finals.
