It's one or the other
Pace was the nagging issue with Lotus Racing but just as they got that improved, they were hit by reliability issues. When reliability is sorted, it's back to pace...and it's been that story thus far and a good example can been seen in Turkey.

Unseen steps for Lotus Racing
It seems to be another day in the office for Lotus Racing...one car finishing the race in 17th place and the other retired due to procedural problem as mentioned by Technical Chief Mike Gascoyne. With so much hype surrounding the Barcelona GP, a slight disappointment can be felt among some of the fans as the team were unable to up the pace at Catalunya.
