KUALA LUMPUR, (Stadiumastro) - Sapura beat Kuala Lumpur Hockey Club (KLHC) 4-2 in the first leg of their TNB Malaysia Hockey League semi-final at the Tun Razak Hockey Stadium on Friday.
Despite taking the lead in the third minute through Chua Boon Huat, but Sapura eqalised through Nishel Kumar in the 22nd minute.
But a 13 minute Sapura blitz at the start of the second half would be KLHC's undoing with Ahmad Kazamirul Nasaruddin (42), S. Kuhan (45) and Mahinder Singh (53) giving Sapura a 4-1 lead.
Boon Huat gave KLHC a fighting chance in Saturday's second leg when he converted a penalty corner with virtually the last shot of the match.
