MHF look to Europe for next coach

KUALA LUMPUR, (Stadiumastro) - The Malaysian Hockey Federation (MHF) are seeking for an European coach to replace Tan Beng Hai as the national hockey coach.

The federation are in the midst of securing a sponsorship to support the salary for the foreign coach, but have confirmed he will be from Europe.

MHF president Tengku Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah does not want to reveal the coach's identity, but says this move is in effort to revive the national hockey squad to its best.

The appointment of the foreign coach is also seen as a preparation for the Commonwealth Games and Asian Games which will be the centre focus of majority of the sports associations.
