ITALY, (AFP) - Brazilian playmaker Diego has committed his future to Juventus despite reported interest from German champions Bayern Munich.
"I want to stay at Juventus to redeem myself by having a great season," he told his own website after Italian media had quoted an unnamed Bayern official as claiming the plauer had been offered to them "at least six times".
"I don't know why (Bayern) have said this, it's not true. It was Bayern who wanted me, as everyone knows, last year when Juventus were dealing with Werder."
Diego endured a tough season last time round when he was often the brunt of fan anger as the Serie A giants slumped to their worst ever season in the Italian top flight.
